Muhabura isn't just our first Social Summit - it's a living blueprint being written daily. Launched in July 2025 in Kisoro, this flagship location is where we're testing, learning, and refining the model that will transform communities nationwide. What you see today isn't a finished product but a courageous beginning.
This space skills people with disabilities and their care takers (especially children and youth with disabilities, and their mothers) in art and craft skills, textile designing (including shoes) and hospitality. We have 1 ines per year admitting 10 trainees per intake.
Our skilling course takes 11 months of intensive training. Trainees rotate in all the different vocational areas in a space of 4 weeks and get a chance to choose their preferred skill in which they will intensively train for the next 10 months. After the intensive training, trainees are helped with paid apprenticeship placements, job opportunities or small business seeds.
